I am now required under Standing Order 90(2) to put successively without further debate the Question on each of the remaining 34 Ways and Means Motions and the four Procedure Motions and on the Motion relating to Finance [Money], on all of which the Finance Bill is to be brought in.

I understand that at the corresponding stage last year the Chairman obtained the leave of the Committee of Ways and Means to the putting of each Question in a shortened form rather than reading out each Motion in extenso. I propose, if I have the leave of the House, to adopt similar procedure, that is to say, first to state the title of the Motion and then simply to put the Question, "That the Motion be agreed to." It is, of course, in order for the House to divide on any of these Motions.
