§ Motion made, and Question,
§ That, as from six o'clock in the evening of 19th March 1968, the duty of customs on hydrocarbon oils and the duty of excise on hydrocarbon oils, on petrol substitutes and on spirits used for power methylated spirits, shall be increased by 4d. a gallon to 3s. 11 d. a gallon.
§ And it is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution should have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act 1968.—[Mr. Roy Jenkins.]
§ put forthwith pursuant to Standing Order No. 90(2) (Ways and Means motions), and agreed to.
