HC Deb 29 May 1907 vol 174 cc1650-1
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can now state the course which the Government intend to pursue in regard to the Land Law (Ireland) Acts Amendment Bill.

MR. BIRRELL

This is not a Government measure. The Bill has been committed to a Standing Committee, of which my right hon. friend the Attorney-General for Ireland and myself are members. I have no statement to make on the subject at present.

MR. LONSDALE

Do the Government intend to take the Bill up?

MR. BIRRELL

The hon. Member had better wait and see what course the Bill takes.
