I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners have in any, and, if so, how many, cases sanctioned advances of over £3,000 for the purchase of holdings, and in how many cases have they refused to sanction such advances under The Land Purchase(Ireland) Act, 1903.


The hon. Member will find the information for which he asks up to 31st March, 1906,on page 28 of the last Annual Report of the Estates Commissioners and on page 19 of the Appendix to the Report. Further information on the subject will be given in the Commissioners' Report for the year ending 31st March last which is at present in course of preparation.
