§ MR. LONSDALEI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state when he will be in a position to give to the House the results of the investigations into the claims of evicted tenants to be reinstated in their holdings.
§ MR. BIRRELLAs I have already informed the House, the Estates Commissioners will immediately after the end of this month proceed, to draw up a special Report upon the cases of evicted tenants which have then been investigated. The Commissioners anticipate that this Report will be ready by the middle of next month, and I shall then make a statement on the subject as soon as may be possible.
§ MR. LONSDALECannot the right hon. Gentleman give the number reinstated?
§ MR. BIRRELLI should prefer the hon. Member to wait for the Report.
