HC Deb 04 November 1909 vol 12 c1996
Major ANSTRUTHER-GRAY

asked the Lord Advocate whether he had yet been able favourably to consider the Petition signed by over 200 fishermen on the East Coast of Fife in favour of providing a three-mile limit around the Bell Bock?

The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. Ure)

The Petition has been received and has been fully considered, but the Secretary for Scotland is unable to depart from the position indicated in previous replies given on 15th June and 13th November, 1908, on the same subject.

Mr. R. HARCOURT

Will the Secretary for Scotland be prepared to give any reason beyond a simple negative?

Mr. URE

I daresay he will, but I cannot give it in a supplementary answer.
