HC Deb 17 May 1909 vol 5 cc16-7
Sir WILLIAM BULL

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, inasmuch as many companies, such as banking companies, with uncalled capital, insist on transfers from executors as such to themselves as individuals, is such a transfer inter viros within the meaning of the Budget speech?

The same HON. MEMBER

also asked whether a transfer from surviving trustees to themselves and new trustees is a transfer inter vivos; and whether a transfer from trustees to the beneficiaries, ultimately entitled, is a transfer inter vivos?

Mr. LLOYD-GEORGE

I will answer the three questions put by the hon. Member together. I must ask the hon. Member to wait, in regard to this and the two subsequent questions, for the text of the Finance Bill.
