HC Deb 17 May 1909 vol 5 c17
Sir WILLIAM BULL

Will the Chancellor of the Exchequer favourably consider, in the direction of making allowances for petrol and motor taxes, the case of civil servants, such as Local Government Board inspectors and auditors in England, Ireland, and Scotland, who were at present allowed tram fare and other expenses, and who use their private motors for the more speedy and efficient discharge of their public duties?

Mr. LLOYD-GEORGE

I have nothing to add to the reply given to the hon. Member by my hon. Friend the Financial Secretary to the Treasury on the 13th inst.
