HC Deb 10 May 1909 vol 4 c1443
Mr. CATHCART WASON

asked the Postmaster-General if he could now state how far the experiments in wireless telegraphy would justify him in extending its benefits to North Ronaldshay?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Sydney Buxton

): The Post Office engineers have from these experiments arrived at a conclusion as regards the type of plant which would be necessary for an installation of wireless service to North Ronaldshay, but it has not been possible yet to determine the cost of such a service, and therefore I cannot at present quote terms to the hon. Member.
