HC Deb 03 May 1909 vol 4 c731
Mr. LOUGH

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can state what amount each fresh tax provided in his Budget Statement is estimated by the Treasury to produce this year and next year; and, in the case of any tax which will not have come into full bearing next year, what is the full amount he expects that impost ultimately to yield? The right hon. Gentleman added: The question will involve a great many figures, and it will be satisfactory to me if it is put on the Paper.

Mr. LLOYD-GEORGE

That is the course I intend to take. I cannot at the moment add anything to the details which I gave in my Financial Statement on Thursday last. I propose, however, to have full particulars of the estimated yield of the new taxes printed and circulated as soon as possible.
