HC Deb 29 March 1909 vol 3 c5
Captain BARING

asked whether he has any information to the effect that a considerable traffic in arms was being carried on across the Juba River with the Ogaden Somalis living in the Jubaland province of the British East African Protectorate; and, if so, what efforts are being made to put an end to it?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Colonel Seely)

I have no information to the effect described, but inquiry will be made of the Governor of the Protectorate on the subject.
