HC Deb 21 July 1909 vol 8 c514
Mr. LAIDLAW

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India if he has considered the representations made to him last year by Members of this House with reference to placing on the free list a large variety of articles which are imported into India in such small quantities as to make the collection of duty unremunerative; and whether he can make any statement to the House on the subject?

The MASTER of ELIBANK

The views of the Government of India on the subject are at present under the consideration of the Secretary of State in Council, and I am not able to make any statement concerning them.
