I beg to ask the Prime Minister whether the announcement that it is impossible at this stage of the session that any Bill dealing with congestion in Ireland should be expected to pass either House of Parliament represents the settled view of the Government.

MR. ASQUITH

It is the intention of the Government as soon as possible to introduce proposals in regard to this matter, but until we see what degree of acceptance these proposals meet, not only here but in other quarters, I should prefer to say nothing definite as to their Parliamentary prospects.
