CAPTAIN CRAIGI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant 1065 of Ireland whether he is aware that a cattle-drive took place on 8th November last, when a number of cattle and sheep were driven from a grazing farm at Ballylassan, County Mayo; whether he can state if all the animals have been recovered; how many arrests have been made in connection with the outrage; what sentences, if any, have been passed; and what steps the Executive propose to take to prevent further occurrences of a similar nature.
§ MR. BIRRELLA cattle-drive took place at Ballyglass on the date mentioned. All the animals were recovered. No arrests have been made. The police are taking every precaution to prevent a further occurrence of the kind.
