CAPTAIN CRAIGI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that a cattle-drive took place on 8th November last, when twenty head of cattle were driven from a grazing farm held by Mr. John Robinson, at Ballinameen, near Boyle, County Roscommon; whether he can state if all the animals have been recovered; how many arrests have been made in connection with the outrage; what sentences, if any, have been passed; and what steps the Executive propose to take to prevent further occurrences of a similar nature.
§ MR. BIRRELLFifteen cattle were driven from Mr. Robinson's farm on the date in question. They have all been recovered. The police have not been able to make any arrests, but they are endeavouring by every possible means to prevent a repetition of the offence.
