HC Deb 13 November 1908 vol 196 c714
MR. WATT (Glasgow, College)

To ask the Secretary for Scotland whether in view of the increase to be presently effected in the staffing and personnel of the Local Government Board for Scotland he will undertake that a veterinary surgeon with practical experience in meat inspection will be appointed to that Board in order to unify the standard of meat inspection throughout Scotland.

(Answered by Mr. Sinclair.) I can only inform my hon. friend that if and when an increase of staff of the Local Government Board is necessary all the representations that have been made will have due consideration.
