§ MR. HUGH LAWTo ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners have received an application from the representatives of the late John Derry, who was evicted from his holding in Inniscoo Island, County Donegal, about nine years ago, to be reinstated in his former holding; whether the application has been rejected, and, if so, upon what grounds; and whether the Commissioners will now favourably consider the claims of Derry's representatives to reinstatement under the provisions of the Evicted Tenants Act.
(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners have received an application for reinstatement from Mrs. Sophia O'Donnel, daughter of John Derry, deceased, but they cannot see their way to depart from their decision not to take any action in the matter.
