HC Deb 09 November 1908 vol 195 c1678
MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can now state when he hopes to be in a position to proceed with the Royal Irish Constabulary Bill; and does he intend it to become law before the end of the present session.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) I trust that the necessary financial resolution will be passed by the Committee on Monday next, the 16th instant, and in that case the Bill will be introduced at the earliest possible moment, and will, I hope, become law before the end of the session.
