§ MR. CLAUDE HAYI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he will state the annual cost of granting a separation allowance of 1s. a day for wives and 2d. a day for each child to the privates of the Territorial Army.
§ MR. ACLANDThe cost can only be very roughly estimated. It would be at the least £50,000 per annum. The rate for the wife would be at the Army rate of 1s. 1d. and not 1s.
