§ MR. CLAUDE HAY (Shoreditch, Hoxton)I beg to ask the Secretary of State 42 for War whether he will take steps to ensure the immediate approval of the officers of the late Volunteer Forces who have notified their willingness to serve in the Territorial Army.
§ MR. ACLANDThe names of all officers of all officers of Imperial Yeomanry and Volunteers recommended for transfer to the Territorial Force, and all those recommended for new units, have been provisionally approved subject to units attaining a strength of 30 per cent. of their establishment. When such units have been recognised, these officers' names will be submitted to His Majesty for approval in the ordinary course.
