HC Deb 26 March 1908 vol 186 cc1550-1
MR. W. T. WILSON (Lancashire, Westhoughton)

To ask the Postmaster-General if it is with his knowledge that members of the sorting staff in the London postal service, who cannot possibly benefit from the new scales of pay resulting from the Hobhouse Report. are being supplied with forms requesting them to sign in favour of being placed on the new scales or remaining under the old scales; if so, what is the object of seeking such information; and, seeing this action is calculated to create much misunderstanding he will give instructions for the withdrawal of the forms.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) I have received a communication from the Fawcett Association, representing the London sorting staff, on this subject, which I have answered.
