HC Deb 12 March 1908 vol 185 c1719
MR. T. HARRINGTON (Dublin Harbour)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether arrangements will be made to have St. Patrick's Day observed as a public holiday in the Army Ordnance Departments, in common with all other public departments in Ireland.

(Answered by Mr. Secretry Haldane.) St. Patrick's Day is allowed to the Army Ordnance Department in Ireland as a public holiday, on the same conditions as for Admiralty employees, namely, without pay and without the right of making up lost time.
