HC Deb 12 March 1908 vol 185 cc1718-9
MR. W. T. WILSON (Lancashire, Westhoughton)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that an order has been issued through the Kent County Association to certain companies of Volunteers belonging to the 4th Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment to the effect that no man employed in the Royal Dockyard at Chatham shall belong to the Territorial Army; whether such order was issued with his approval; and, if so, will the order apply to the men employed in all Government Departments.

(Answered by Mr. Secretry Haldane.) I am not aware of the order referred to. The regulations which are now applicable to Volunteers employed in departments under the Army Council will not in any way be altered in regard to men of the Territorial Force.
