HC Deb 04 March 1908 vol 185 c663
MR. REES (Montgomery Boroughs)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether the quartermasters (many of whom are old soldiers with distinguished service) now serving in the Volunteer Force, and receiving a salary from the commanding officer out of the funds of the corps, will in future be paid by the County Territorial Associations; and, seeing that in future their duties will be more onerous than before, whether an increase of pay can be guaranteed to them.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) Will my hon. friend kindly refer to my reply to a Question put on the 26th February on this subject by the hon. Member for Dundee?
