To ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether in view of the fact that the foot-and-mouth disease was introduced into Scotland through the medium of imported foreign forage, he will, in conjunction with the Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture (Ireland), arrange to prohibit the importation of any foreign forage from countries where there is not a clean bill of animal health into any part of the three kingdoms.
