HC Deb 03 December 1908 vol 197 c1666
MR. R. DUNCAN (Lanarkshire, Govan)

I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has any official information showing the practice in the various British Dominions as to sums of money required to be possessed by immigrants; and whether there is any preference or relaxation in favour of emigrants from the United Kingdom.

COLONEL SEELY

Information on the subject of the sum which emigrants are required to possess before entering the Colonies was given in my reply on 24th November to a Question put by my hon. friend the Member for the Cirencester division. So far as I know, there is no preference or relaxation in favour of emigrants from the United Kingdom.
