HC Deb 14 May 1907 vol 174 c776
MR. STANGER (Kensington, W.)

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that annoyance has for a long time past been caused to residents in North Kensington, in the neighbourhood of the Metropolitan Railway, owing to the drivers of locomotives sounding their whistles or sirens upon approaching the stations, and that this practice has continued in spite of constant protests, and notwithstanding assurances by the general manager of the company that such whistling is contrary to orders; and whether he will consider the advisability of taking action in the matter.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) I have communicated with the railway company in this matter, and have received a reply of which I am sending my honourable friend a copy.
