HC Deb 18 March 1907 vol 171 cc446-7
MR. KENDAL O'BRIEN

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if the Estates Commissioners have yet entered into negotiations with the landlords, Mr. James Bennett and Mr. George Mitchell, with the view to purchase from them their grazing lands †See (4) Debates, clxiii., 683. containing 400 acres and 260 acres respectively, situate in the parish of Bourney, near Roscrea, in the county of Tipperary.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners inform me that they are unable to identify the untenanted lands referred to in the case of Mr. James Bennett. In November last, the Commissioners approached Mr. George Mitchell, but were informed that he had no untenanted lands.
