§ MR. DILLONI beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Lord Cromer has recently presented a Report to the Foreign Office on proposed reforms in Egypt; whether this Report contains any recommendations as to reforming the criminal law as between natives and members of the army of occupation; and whether it is proposed to lay any Papers on the subject of reforms in the government of Egypt.
§ SIR EDWARD GREYI have nothing to add to the reply returned to the hon. Member for Brentford on the 15th instant, † Any reforms in the government of Egypt will doubtless be dealt with by Lord Cromer in his Annual Report, which will be laid before Parliament next year; it is not proposed to lay Papers before the usual date.
