DR. RUTHERFORDI beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been called to the fact that on 2nd October last an order was issued by the Information Bureau of the Sudan War Office prohibiting the admission of the Cairo newspaper Al Minbar into the Sudan; and whether the issuing of such an order, emanating from the military authorities, implies that the Egyptian Sudan, although reconquered in 1899, is still under martial law.
