§ MR. GINNELLI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if his attention has been directed to the recent dicta of the Land Judge in Ireland that he, the Land Judge, had always found Irish tenants most reasonable, and that embarrassed tenants were not free agents when signing purchase agreements; and if he will have a record kept of landlords who have demanded high prices from embarrassed tenants and afterwards proceeded against those tenants for the recovery of the rents upon which those prices were calculated.
MR. BRYCEMy attention has been drawn to newspaper reports of the Land Judge's remarks to the effect mentioned in the Question. I am not aware that any good purpose would be served by keeping such a record as is referred to in the latter part of the Question, and in any event, apart from the difficulty of deciding what are high prices, I have no means of obtaining the necessary information.
