HC Deb 06 March 1906 vol 153 cc286-7
MR. HAROLD COX (Preston)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War what will be the annual cost of the battalion of troops to be stationed at Pietermaritzburg at the request of the Natal Government, including due allowance for the cost of training the troops, and for their reserve pay; and what contribution the Natal Government propose to make to this cost.

MR. HALDANE

The question of the force, if any, to be stationed at Pietermaritzburg is under consideration, and I am not in a position to make any statement at present.
