HC Deb 28 June 1905 vol 148 c381
MR. VINCENT KENNEDY (Cavan, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that on June 5th six young men, viz.:—Messrs. Greer, Currie, Cleland, Engleson, Ferguson, and Brown, were apprehended by the police in Belfast; and will he state whether these men were subsequently charged; and if so, what was the nature of the complaint, with the result in each case.

MR. WALTER LONG

The six persons named were arrested by the police and charged with riotous behaviour. Each was fined 40s. and costs, and in addition all save Eagleson were required to find sureties to keep the peace. The fines were paid and the necessary recognisances entered into.
