HC Deb 26 July 1905 vol 150 cc341-2
MR. ARTHUR STANLEY (Lancashire, Ormskirk)

To ask the Secretary to the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to a decision of Mr. Justice Channell with regard to the hall-marking of foreign watches; and whether he proposes to take any action, by legislation or otherwise, to remove the disabilities under which British watch manufacturers are now labouring.

(Answered by Mr. Bonar Law.) My attention has been called to the decision in question, and I am informed by the Goldsmiths' Company that they have decided to appeal.
