HC Deb 19 July 1905 vol 149 cc1172-3
MB. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that Michael O'Connor, of Gortfada, reported to the Sneem police, on 5th February, that nine sheep had been stolen from him; and can he state what steps were taken by the police to recover those sheep.

(Answered by Mr. Waiter Long.) On 20th November last O'Connor reported to the police that ten of his sheep were missing, and that he thought the might have strayed. Four of the missing sheep were, a few days later, found straying on an adjacent mountain. The police from two neighbouring stations were out searching for the remaining sheep for many days, but without avail. The district is a mountainous one.
