I beg to ask the Lord-Advocate if he will state the precise nature of any arrangements made by the Congested Districts Board for the conveyance of fish by steamer from the Western Highland fishing stations to Kyle, and the proposed rates.

The Congested Districts Board have made arrangements with Messrs. Couper, of Helmsdale, by which they undertake to run a steamer from Ullapool and intervening ports to Kyle three times a week for the conveyance of lobsters and fish at the rate of 6d. a cwt., on a guarantee from the Board of a minimum cargo per month of 280 tons.
