HC Deb 27 February 1905 vol 141 c1323
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Lord-Advocate, in view of recent improvements in weight carrying motor-cars, will he consider the expediency of placing a motor-car on the road between Ullapool aid Garve for the purpose of assisting the fishing industry in the Lochbroom district, as authorised under Section 4, Sub-section (e), of the Congested Districts (Scotland) Act, 1897.

MR. SCOTT DICKSON

The Secretary for Scotland has received no application in the direction suggested by the hon. Member. He will perceive by my Answer to the previous Question that the Congested Districts Board have already taken steps experimentally to facilitate transit by sea from Ullapool to the railway terminus.
