LUNDONI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will lay upon the Table a Return showing the amount of the Exchequer Grant apportioned to each of the unions of Ireland; how much of it is now unexpended taken collectively, and how much separately for the various unions; and what do the Government propose to do with those unexpended moneys.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe published Report of the Local Government Board for the year ended March 31st, 1904, contains at pages 252–264 full information with respect to the application of the grant and the amount of the unissued balance. I am not yet in a position to recommend an allocation of this balance.
