I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that certain of the largest landowners in the county of Sligo have refused to sell at any price to their tenants under the provisions of the Land Act of 1903; and, if so, what steps, if any, will be taken by the Estates Commissioners to induce such landlords to sell.

I have no information on the first part of the Question. The Government has no power to take action in the direction suggested.
