HC Deb 02 May 1904 vol 134 cc117-8
MR. ALFRED DAVIES

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Board of Education if he will explain why the Report of Mr. A. T. Laurence, K.C., on the Carmarthen County Council Education Inquiry, which has been in the hands of members of that council for some days, is not in the hands of Members of the House of Commons.

SIR WILLIAM ANSON

Copies of the Report which are in the hands of members of the Carmarthen County Council were sent them by the Board of Education in accordance with Section 73 of the Education Act, 1870. The copies which should now be in the hands of hon. Members will be those printed by command of the House; over this matter the Board of Education have no control. The copy was presented to Parliament of the same date that it was seat to the county council. I am informed that copies will be available at the Vote Office by this evening.
