To ask the President of the Board of Trade, if he has called the attention of any railway company to the new signal alarm recently submitted to him; and, if so, with what result.

Member on the 12th of last month,† par- † See (4) Debates, cxxxiv., 1155. ticulars of several inventions of the character referred to have been submitted to the Board of Trade and their inspecting officers, but I am not aware whether these include the invention which the hon. Member has in mind cannot undertake to direct the attention of railway companies to any particular invention.
