SIR EDWARD SASSOON (Hythe)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he would state the number of existing county boroughs with populations below 50,000 in England and Wales.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Akers-Douglas.) There are nine county boroughs with a population, according to the census of 1901, of less than 50,000.
