HC Deb 28 June 1904 vol 136 c1406
SIR WALTER PALMER (Salisbury)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether it is proposed to retain the headquarters and clerical staff of a Division at Salisbury.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) It is not possible to give a final answer to this Question at present. The course to be pursued must depend upon the exigencies of the service, and, as I have already stated, the future distribution of the Army at home, in which the question of the headquarters is involved, is still under consideration.
