HC Deb 24 February 1904 vol 130 c848
MR. HUGH LAW (Donegal, W.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether His Majesty's Government have yet received the proposals of the officers entrusted with the task of drawing up a scheme for the reorganisation of the gendarmerie in Macedonia; and, if so, will he state to the House the substance of their proposals.

THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Earl PERCY,) Kensington, S.

The proposals for the reorganisation of the Macedonian gendarmerie are still under discussion at Constantinople and have not yet been finally settled. I hope shortly to be in a position to give the House further information on the subject.
