PATRICK O'BRIEN (Kilkenny)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has received a memorial from the various educational associations in Ireland connected with secondary education asking him to receive a deputation from these associations with reference to the proportional grant due to Irish education; and, if so, whether he can say if he will receive the deputation; and, if so, where and when.
58 (Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The memorial has been received. I regret, however, that it is not practicable for me to receive the proposed deputation. As already stated, I hope shortly to make an announcement on the subject.
