§ MR. SYDNEY BUXTONTo ask the Secretary of State for India what was the total import of foreign goods into India in the last completed year for which figures are available, and how much of these imports consisted of manufactured goods.
(Answered by Secretary Lord George Hamilton.) The total imports of private merchandise from foreign countries into India in 1901–2 amounted to £14,984,934, of which £7,432,427 represented articles wholly or partially manufactured.
