MR. CATHCART WASONTo ask the Lord Advocate if he will state what steps have been taken by the Congested Districts Board to secure the fulfilment of the arrangement for the construction of a causeway over the Ayre at Longhope, Orkney.
(Answered by Mr. A. Graham Murray.) The Congested Districts Board are informed that with the exception of a portion which it is proposed to leave un-causewayed until next year in order to test the effect of the winter storms, the causeway is expected to be finished by the end of September.
