HC Deb 07 April 1903 vol 120 c1234
MR. ELLIS GRIFFITH (Anglesey)

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the obstructions at the entrance to the harbour of refuge at Holyhead and the consequent danger to ships seeking shelter therein, and the casualties that have ensued in consequence, the Board of Trade will be prepared to complete the harbour by removing the Platters' Rocks.

(Answered by Mr. Gerald Balfour.) This matter stands as it did when my right hon. friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer, then President of the Board of Trade, made an exhaustive statement on the subject in the House on 18th April, 1898.

I am not aware of any casualties which can be ascribed to the Platters' Rocks.
