ELLIS GRIFFITHTo ask the President of the Board of Trade whether the negotiations between the Board of Trade and the London and North Western Railway Company as to the concession by the Board of certain rights and privileges to the Company for the purposes of the Company's cross-channel service at Holyhead have been concluded; and whether the present state of the negotiations may be published.
(Answered by Mr. Gerald Balfour.) No negotiations with the London and North Western Railway Company are now in progress. I informed the hon. Member on 21st February 1901, by answer to a Question in this House that they had been abandoned.
