HC Deb 28 May 1902 vol 108 c779
MR. WEIR

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that Lieutenant-Colonel Yates, in referring to the large tents used by district officers on tour in India, suggests that they might with advantage be superseded by the Swiss cottage and cashmere tents, which are handier and more economical; and will the suggestion receive consideration.

(Answer.) I am content to leave the regulation of tentage used by district officers in India to the Indian Government.—(India Office.)
